Semi-Hollow Dies

Performance of Semi hollow dies are often impacted by poor tongue ratios.

We design semi-hollow dies where tongue ratio is critical. To prevent tongue movement, we design dies and backers with a spigot in backers. Where spigots are not possible, we design them as a bridge in face or shut off dies. For hollow dies with sub-optimal tongue ratio, we design the die with a covering mandrel.
